General questions we hear often:

Using our well defined custom design process we usually see sites fall into one of three buckets:

Most Sites – 4-6 weeks
E-Commerce Sites – 6-8 weeks
Large Sites – 8-12 weeks

How much does a website cost?

A very reasonable question. ProActive Web Solutions provides custom project-based pricing. We are happy to provide some ballpark priicing guidelines that we follow if you are looking for a quick quote. Please contact us to discuss your web project.

Do you outsource your work?

No, the large majority of our design and development work is done in-house. We do leverage several open-source tools, such as WordPress plugins, based on the needs of the project. Doing so allows us to produce the best functionality possible at the most affordable price. We also partner with experts in a few areas where appropriate to meet particular project needs.

What is this WordPress thing all about?

What is WordPress?
We get really excited talking about WordPress because it is one of our favorite website development tools. It is a content management system (CMS) that allows non-technical users (folks who do not know how to write HTML and other programming languages) to have control over the content of their website. WordPress enables organizations to contribute to their website without relying on a web developer. They’ll save time, reduce costs, and avoid IT bottlenecks! We have now deployed more WordPress-based websites than any other platform and there are many more reasons why. Contact us and let us talk more about this topic.
Can you use custom design with WordPress?
Yes, a common misunderstanding about WordPress is that you are limited in the design or templates that you select. We specialize in custom WordPress based design and can show you examples of how we have stretched WordPress to solve unthinkable web challenges.
Is WordPress easy to learn?
Yes, in our experience WordPress is one of the most user-friendly content management systems. We are confident that with our personal WordPress training, you will have control over your website!

I have a website, now what?

What is SEO or Search Engine Optimization?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an often-misunderstood topic. Search engines, like Google, produce a few different types of search results. The two most important are organic results (the free stuff) and sponsored results (or pay-per-click advertising). SEO is intended to help improve your ranking within organic results. However, improving rankings can be a challenging process that is more of a “marathon” than a “sprint.” At PWS, we feel that SEO is only one component of Internet marketing and should not be the only aspect of your entire marketing strategy.
What is Google Analytics?
Google Analytics is a free service provided by Google to help track the number of visitors to your website along with other granular data that helps you understand the ROI of your marketing activities. We often use analytics to look at things like where users are coming from to get to a site, what pages are getting the most traffic, and what devices are most commonly being used. In order to use Google Analytics, you must create an account and install a tracking code within your website.

For all new web projects, PWS will install Google Analytics for absolutely free.

How can I drive traffic to my website?
That’s a straightforward question that has a different answer for everyone! There is not one formula that will drive results to every website. We understand that all industries are different, and the buying behavior for users varies based on the target audience. We can help you develop an internet marketing strategy that will involve several components of driving results to your website.
